today, I am grateful for all the thoughts and birthday wishes extended to me; for the generosity of my friends to donate to fundraising for a cause that I am so passionate about; for my family for their thoughtfulness in the birthday gifts they selected for me; for a yummy birthday dinner; and for sitting outside in the dusk, listening to the outside sounds of crickets chirping, sprinklers going, distant traffic, and kids playing in the night. it has been a good day and I am truly blessed and rich beyond measure.
